How long do dental implants last?
Straumann implants are covered by a lifetime product warranty. Clinical durability depends on oral hygiene and regular checkups: in most cases, implants remain functional for decades.
How long do dental veneers last?
Ceramic veneers have an average lifespan of 10-15 years with good hygiene. Composite veneers last 5-7 years and are more easily retouched.

Clinical Results: What to Expect from Dental Treatment
The results of dental treatment aren't just an opinion: they're measured, photographed, and reviewed months and years later. This page explains what "good results" mean for each type of procedure, how we verify them, and which factors depend on the patient.
What we mean by good result
For us, a clinical result is considered valid when it simultaneously meets three criteria: restored chewing function , an aesthetic appearance consistent with the patient's facial features, and long-term durability documented by follow-up. An aesthetic crown that doesn't chew well isn't a good result; an implant that works but looks fake isn't either.
Results by treatment type
Implantology
For a well-planned Straumann implant, the 10-year clinical success rate is in line with international literature (over 95%). Success is verified radiographically (osseointegration, peri-implant bone level) and clinically (absence of mobility, healthy gingiva).
Veneers and aesthetics
Porcelain veneers retain their color and shape for 10-15 years with good hygiene. To reduce the risk of chipping, we recommend avoiding biting on hard objects (ice, pens) and recommend a night guard for patients with bruxism.
Orthodontics
At the end of orthodontic treatment, the teeth must be stable and functional. Retention ( usually a lingual wire or night guard) is essential to prevent relapses in the following months.
